Wow, it’s a historic moment for NASA and mankind. Perseverance, an advanced Rover built by NASA, recently had a safe landing and touched down on the surface of Mars with no problems or challenges. I beleive the rover has already started transmitting imagery to Earth, in what could be more advanced cameras than what the Curiosity rover, it’s predecessor is carring. Perseverance is also carrying a gamut of tools and devices, all of which are collecting a plethora of data from Mars, and beaming it back here to Earth. Perseverance also has a microphone, so we can now hear what it’s like on the red planet, and it’s the second human “sense” that has been sent all the way there. I believe that NASA will start building another shuttle which will fly to Mars and collect the rock samples that Perseverance sends, and bring those rock samples back to Earth.
I truly think the scientists and engineers at NASA have outdone themselves this time. Perseverance persevered through in space for close to seven months, (hence its a Mars 2020 mission), and 472 million kilometers. Salute!
I wonder what Russia is up to and why they don’t have any interesting space missions anymore. Putin must have cut the funding maybe?
Anyway, I have some new links for you guys.
